Cotton Must-Haves

If you spend needless hours everyday trying to decide what to wear, you are not alone. Picking the right clothes off the rack is often a dilemma that every wannabe fashion diva faces. But there are some things that every woman just should have. Here are some points on what your wardrobe must boast of:
Group of pictures showing people dressed in cotton
  • Starched white Shirt  It is the perfect weapon you can have. For a casual day out simply team it with a pair of denims while for an evening out you can jazz it up with a funky belt and long earrings.
  • The Sundress  There is nothing like a good classy cotton dress. It can make you look feminine and classy, be it day or night. Keep a mix of brightly coloured and dark ones to balance your look in summer and winter.
  • Scarves Utilitarian and fashionable, scarves make great accessories. Team them up with plain shirts at work for that formal yet fashionable look, or wear them with plain tees to add that extra colour and style. All depends upon the way you drape them – around your neck, over your head or tying your hair!
  • Long sleeved kurti  A lovely combination of chic, traditional and formal, the kurti has invaded even foreign fashion ramps. It not only accentuates the female figure gracefully, but provides the ultimate in comfort in the Indian summer.
  • Cotton saree  Five years ago this column would have recommended silk, but not anymore. Who has the time to drape seven yards of slippery fabric and get the pleats right? A cotton saree is the ultimate in the classic sense and is perfect for office wear. For an evening out you can also use a cotton silk combination and team it up with accessories to make the occasion special.
  • The right pair of denims  It doesn’t matter which part of the world you are in or what weather, a pair of good denims is something you just cannot do without. Only, most people make a mistake when choosing this pair of essential wear. Keep a pair of basic blue, but if you like making the most of your denims, then play along with the innumerable options now available in the market and go for those funky new looks for a casual day out.
