Cotton Styles

Cotton is not called the white gold for nothing. Light and soft on the body, cotton can transform you into a style icon with minimum fuss. Here are a few tips on how you can use cotton with style.

  • Cotton fabrics keep moisture away from the body. Natural stretch cotton and cotton apparel with a 2% spandex are good options if you want form-fitting styles that hug your curves but are stretchy enough to move with you. Go for easy-to-wear yoga clothing, such as cotton drawstring pants and capris that pair well with a comfortable T-shirt. Add a fitted cardigan that you can throw on when your workout ends. This look is being viewed more and more as fashion-forward, rather than post-workout.
  • Your simple/ plain kurta can be transformed in one go when teamed with a nice Colorful cotton dupatta. With options available between the crinkled and other printed ones, add colour and vibrance to your cotton kurtas.
  • Try mix and matching. Nowhere is it written that you cannot use fabric meant to drape you to drape your home! Ever tried getting curtains made from cotton Maheshwaris or bed sheets from fabulous Kalamkaris?
  • Pure Mulmuls are not just kurti or dupatta material; try getting into a fitted mul pyjama or shirt.
  • Fabric painting is an excellent way to get cotton to work for you. You do not have to be an expert at it. Just follow basic design instructions and you can put together a designer’s wardrobe all by yourself.
